Post # 1 I have drop shackles from Brian and im tired of unbolting the damn thing just to put more lithium grease on it. Has anyone sucessfully added grease fittings to them to make it easier? The squeaking comes from the side of the urethane bushing thats in the shackle, rubbing the inside wall of the shackle hanger.

Broken Shackle Bad enough that I had to go to work on a Saturday. Even worse when I got there and noticed my spring was poking up through the bed . The shackle was unrolled and pretty much straight. Shackle size I am planning on making my own shackles and cant really find a good answer on what size material to use. I have seen 3/8 but hear 1/4 would work too. I am not sure if they are gonna be straight or boomerange but any input would be accepted. Thanks

Starting to get things together to put a '73 thats been sitting in pieces back together. Plan on SOA with spring flip on the rear and 60 power steering conversion. What are the pros and cons of doing a shackle reversal on the front?

What would happen if you moved the fixed shackle (spring mount) on the front springs to the back where the revolving shackle goes and move the revolving shackle to the front like on older model jeeps.

Ok so I'm considering doing a shackle flip, obviously, now I'm looking to eliminate 3 1/2" blocks so im looking to get 3 to 4 inches of lift. I'm wondering if a stock hanger in stock position except upside down with 2 inch lowering shackles (which will really be lifting shackles) will work to give me about 4 inches?
