Here’s a link to a pic of the font used in the Time-Life “Ultimate Seventies” CD series. I’ve seen this font a million times, but can’t seem to ID it. If anyone can help, I’d be much appreciative: http://host.jwcinc.net/3942996/albumart/VA_-_Time_ Life-Ultimate_Seventie...

I listened to an old CD (circa 1987 according to Amazon) called HIGHS OF THE SEVENTIES, and it had some pretty high quality cd masters on it. One of the songs that particularly caught my attention was I Wouldn't Want to Be Like You by the Alan Parsons Project. I did an EAC on it and found the peak level to be 86.3%. I can't find any information about this master anywhere on the internet. ...

Inspired by an old piece of curtain I still had I decided to put colour in my bathroom using some more elements of that 'horrible' style period -without painting the walls in orange :) What are the seventies to you? Were you glad when a few years ago bell bottoms and low waists were back in fashion? Or a page in history to never open anymore? I think taken out of their context some ...

Story So Far: 10th: All Kinds Of Everything - Dana (1970) 9th: Save All Your Kisses For Me - Brotherhood Of Man (1976) Well thank goodness for that! I'm not embedding that monstrosity here, but instead, from the same contest we have the Moopyvision winner, 'Un Deux Trois' by Catherine Ferry. This round will be interesting, as none of the songs attracted more ...

Story So Far: 10th: All Kinds Of Everything - Dana (1970) 9th: Save All Your Kisses For Me - Brotherhood Of Man (1976) 8th: Un Banc, Un Arbre, Une Rue - Severine (1971) So the sole winner from Monaco is the third song to be eliminated. Not that much of a surprise, it is probably the least interesting of the Francophone winners from this decade, and very little that is left is ...

I just wanted to let everybody know I'm selling off almost all my old favourite jewelry of past times. You can't have my rings, bracelets and that one necklace I want to die in, but all the rest, mostly earrings but also some necklaces and pendants, is anxiously awaiting new, younger owners: http://www.etsy.com/shop/LeChatCrochet?section_i d=5375721 Always having a ...

A man in his late 70s was interviewed on the television the other night. He told the interviewer that he had sex nearly every night. When the surprised young woman asked for clarification he said: "Well, I nearly have sex on Monday night, I nearly have sex on Tuesday night, I nearly have sex on Wednesday night, I nearly...

I read an interesting theory at Dark UFO. This theory purports that time lines can run parallel to each other. In other words, just because Sawyer and company "flashed back" to the seventies, it doesn't alter what happened in a concurring time line of the same events. In this case, they don't save Amy, she gets captured by the Hostiles and she and Ethan become a part of the Hostile group....

Watch the speedo rise, that is sheer unadulterated brute power. Not bad for a seventies car with a (*BIG*) pushrod V8 Chevy. Imagine that under the bonnet of a lightened N/A If I won the lottery I can think of worse ways to kill myself http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBNh8LMShyE

Rocky Horror Show in the seventies, Blues Brother in the eighties, Reservoir Dogs in the nineties, but what was the dressing up movie of the two-thousands? Battle Royale, Offside, Eagle vs Shark, or was it another film?
