General Gaming
Started 1 week, 1 day ago (2009-11-03 07:23:00)  by GuppyGamer
I have been trying to remember a game that my parents brought back from England for me back in the early 70's. It involved quite a bit of shopping with lots of plastic coins. I was delighted to see all the different denominations. To my 9-year-old brain it appeared that the point of the game was simply to learn the British monetary system. I know that this provides little helpful information,...

The problem we have is that my parents' generation where not properly taught Metric, nor was anyone older, they can't deal with it. My generation (and younger) where never really taught Imperial (and most of us couldn't understand it since it had no consistent base). However, due to the older gnerations using it, we're forced to learn it backwards. As a result, human height is in feet and ...

I read an interesting theory at Dark UFO. This theory purports that time lines can run parallel to each other. In other words, just because Sawyer and company "flashed back" to the seventies, it doesn't alter what happened in a concurring time line of the same events. In this case, they don't save Amy, she gets captured by the Hostiles and she and Ethan become a part of the Hostile group....

Mature age vocal and guitar required by same to form acoustic and electric fifties sixties and seventies duo. Must be able to play well and sing lead and harmonies so no amatuers please but definenitly no egotistical virtuoso stars either. I have private rehearsal space and recording facilities -- so practice will not cost. If interested phone Rob on 97895440 weekdays.

I was reading that back in the sixties and seventies ford used to 300 in dump trucks. Since the power needs were greater they installed Heavy Duty exhaust manifolds that had the potential for greater flow than the fuel injection manifolds and some headers. Is this true, i was reading this on wikipedia and am looking for some verification. If this is true would i be able to fit them to a 300 in a ...

Psycho (1960)

I first saw "Psycho" on TV -- uncut, but with commercials -- in 1971. In the seventies, it was shown on TV about once a year. Came about 1982, I bought the video tape and could watch it whenever. Later a DVD. Either way you cut it, however, I believe that I only watched "Psycho" all the way through, once a year. So from 1971 to 2009, that's 38 times(and the last time, all the way through, ...

Bond girl Eva Green insists she’s ‘not confident’ about her body – but you might beg to differ, given her latest sultry photoshoot. The 29-year-old seemed to show no inhibitions when she posed naked for the latest edition of style bible Tatler, recreating a classic Seventies portrait of British actress Charlotte Rampling. Sitting on a polished antique...
