Is it possible for server side includes to work for content that is NOT managed by MOSS but exists in files and folders under the MOSS root virtual directory in IIS? As we migrate our internet site content from our old content management system to MOSS 2007, we would like to have the html pages our old cms generates peacefully coexist on the MOSS web, so we can have the same web url without ...

hi, I am just getting my head around creating a new school web site, using asp for the first time. I've got a header.asp, menu.asp, content.asp and footer.asp. Brought together in a index page using server side incudes to bring it all together. My question is, can I use an asp menu that changes which content.asp is pulled in, so there is different content pages without changing the other ...

I am working on a site using the built in webserver in Aptana to preview the webpages - I tried to use SSI to bring in a menu created in HTML list and in an exterternal file - menu.shtml. How do I get SSI or to verify that SSI works on the Aptana webserver?

My question is about server side includes and security.  I love to use includes for menus and footers for my websites, but my supervisor, who I respect a lot, said that I shouldn't use them because it just opens up security issues. I can understand his...

On here, in a test area (add index-test.html to the domain) I have .shtml files used to permit me to include html inside html using :- However, they don't work, and all files that are .shtml appear as text. Does VM not support SSI at all, or...

It probably comes as a surprise to everyone but it appears that out of the box, DotNetNuke does not allow you to include HTML forms on its pages. The reason for this is that DotNetNuke already includes a server side form which contains most of each DotNetNuke page.
