General Knife Discussion

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm kind of new to knives, or should I say quality knives. I have mostly plain edge knives, mostly because I believe them to be much easier to sharpen. What are some pros/ cons between PE and serrated or combo? Is there anything a serrated knife can do that would not be possible with a plain edge? And vice-versa? Thanks. To Life---

I have a Japanese gyutou style knife. VG-10 laminated steel. A nice hard working blade. I have started to notice that the edge is becoming serrated for lack of better description. It is still very sharp but when you run a smooth steel against it you can feel the bumps. What am I doing wrong? How can I fix the problem? Thanks

Sick Plants and Problems

Wow, i guess its the humidity issue. My RH is running about 40-45%. Will this affect the plants badly? They're still growing pretty quick. I'll try to take a couple new picks tomorrow after I water them. Also are there any cheap and easy ways to bring the humidity up. Again thanks to everyone who helped with suggestions
