My 2002 SC430 has been maintained by an independent garage rather than the dealer, for a while, but I went back to ask about my self-levelling headlamp problem, and it is not a job they are equipped to deal with. The warning light on the dash comes on intermittently, and even when it is not on, sometimes the lights seem to be "hunting" up and down for the correct position. I could return ...

Hi I would like to know what the difference would be if I canned my self leveling suspension at the rear and replaced with normal suspension. My self leveling has now been replaced 3 times which is expensive and frustrating. Any advice out there.

I want to tile a large window sill, about 450mm deep and 7m long. Previously it was covered with veneered chipboard but after 25 years the sun plus moisture from watering plants and condensation from the windows above did for it. The wall underneath is uneven brick with some wood inserts previously used to screw the wooden sill too. So far my two thoughts are: 1) Use self leveling compound...

I've just been out to the car to move it back onto the drive and the lights are jumping up and down. I took a short video but not sure how easy it is to see: YouTube - Skoda Octavia II headlight self levelling - failure? Has anyone else had this problem? I guess it's another trip to the dealers...

I just submitted this as a secret to the gamefaqs page, but until it's on there I'll tell you guys. I'm likely not the first to discover this but oh well. Since 2010 now gives you CAW stat points for things other than story mode, you can now auto-level your CAWs. Simply set two of your CAWs in a special match with each other, with a title on the line, and put them both to CPU controls. Whoever ...

My 230te has sprung a leak in the self levelling system pipework just forward of the rear axle. It looks as though the pipe has corroded at one of the fixing points. The rest of the pipework looks sound. I understand from reading MB forum that this is not uncommon. One suggested solution was to cut the pipe and fit a connector of some sort. I read that a swagelok fitting (...

HI there, does anyone know if these are the same as the RangeRover/Discovery units that are widely available? I have a slightly crunched front sensor and a tame Landy dealer in the vicinity. Thanks in advance. If cheaper could be a useful source to others on here.

I have a 2003 530d Touring. This morning I jacked the front of the car to fix a minor brake problem. After I lowered the car from the jack I noticed that the rear suspension is now at the maximum height position, so the car is almost undriveable. Like all Touring models, my car has self levelling rear suspension, so presumably the problem is linked to this. While the car was jacked at the...
