can you lower a 99a6 avant that has oem self leveling suspension??

Hey man! Haven't seen you around in a long long time. As for your question, the 1999 A6 avant didn't include any form of self-leveling suspension. It was a plain old spring/strut setup. The remarks from Koni are probably there to cover the whole C5 A6 platform since the allroad was part of it. The allroad was the car that had the self-leveling suspension.

Wow! I'm glad I came across this! I have been thinking in the back of my mind how cool it would be to have the SLS feature on my '06 XT, but at that price and the troubles that seems to arise (along with the short lifespan) I'm going to reconsider... I've got 80K on the OEM ones and haven't noticed any difference in ride handling... I know all the tire tech guys say to replace them at 50K...

Quick question on the suspension, I have a 2009 750i (not long wheelbase) and everything I've read says that I don't have the self-leveling rear suspension. So last weekend I replaced the shock absorbers for my rear suspension which were leaking badly. I filled the pump reservoir with fluid and the shocks pumped up nicely. Hi thanks for your note - I was told by the service dealer that Subaru South Africa have recalled self levelling systems in the older models because of a dust problem ! now that sounds weird - I am going to change to normal suspension next week and hopefully they should last longer.
