hey eveyone! a friend of mine is interested purchasing a .410 revolver, shoots either shot or slugs. looking for something decent. oh yeah said, something about cadium plating. any ideas on what to consider or anybody have anything similiar? was also curious about ft. lbs and velocity. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

I'm not a BJJ practitioner but am currently interested in it. However, I like to train in MAs with a practical SD syllabus. Seeing as BJJ is very much sports oriented, does this mean they have no SD syllabus?

any standup striking training at a bjj school is generally labeled as what it is - boxing, kickboxing, muay thai, mma, whathaveyou. there's an old quote from carlson gracie, iirc, that (again iirc) goes something like "if you aren't doing gi, no gi, and vale tudo, you aren't doing bjj." striking in a grappling context is perfectly core bjj. it's also a totally different game than standup ...

If snakes are a genuine concern to you then get some thick leggings to cover you from the knee down. Hitting a snake with a revolver is pretty tricky business. The BEST way to deal with snakes is to stay away from them.
