I've just bought a new frame and upgraded to 10speed in the process. When I fitted my PX wheels to the frame I noticed that when the chain is the smallest sprocket the clearance is very tight between the chain and seat stay to the extent that there is a small rub on the inside of the seat stay. I've tried a different wheel and I've taken out all but the thin spacer at the back of the ...
document.write(' '); Hello Everyone, I am about to buy my first nice road bike and wanted to come here to ask for some advice. I currently have a deposit on an Independent Fabrication Crown Jewel SEC (which has a carbon fiber monostay), but I am wondering if I should get the SE (which has regular steel stays)....

You can read the tragic details in the post referenced here. http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=590873 The question is when the RD exploded something chipped the top of the seat stay about 3" above the dropout ...

document.write(' '); Hi C&V members folks - this is my first post. I've been reading the threads here for some time and have learned a great deal from this forum. I've got a '71 International with mostly-original equipment. Lately, I've decided that I want to change the original Atom freewheel (with 24t largest...

I've had an '09 Cobia set aside for me at the LBS. I'm buying it to do some bikepacking on some of the trails near me and I really want to fit a rear rack. What's the large threadless hole on the seat stay for? Can it be used to bolt on a rear rack? I really want to stay away from the cantilevered seatpost racks, as I have seen so many of them on the verge of failure.

So i took a pretty good fall the other day on my rize 3. From what i understand they have carbon seat stays. well needless to say in colorado we have rocks, and lots of them. So i put some pretty good scratches and a gough or two in my seat stay. With it being carbon im worried about it snapping and introducing my calf to a sharp seat stay. Is there a way i can replace just the seat stay and if ...

document.write(' '); Being a new frame builder I am constantly running into situations that are new to me but some of you have already encountered. My question is, I have an old pair of S-bend seat stays, I believe 17mm, that i cut too short a while back and I saving them for that frame that eventually comes along so that I can use them. ...

I just took my echo es4r out for a ride and I noticed I couldn't get a good bite on the rear wheel. At first I just thought it was my Avid Arch rivals but then noticed when I tried to squeeze down hard, the seat stays just pushed out away from the wheel. Is all I need a decent booster? Furthermore can the Arch Rivals be used with a booster? I'm also wondering how well HS33's work using a ...

After owning my mojo for less than a week i noticed I was getting chainslap against my right seatstay of the rear triangle. It was starting to chip the clear coat a little bit. Chain is at correct tension it just looks like it runs really close to the rear triangle by design. Has anyone else encountered this?? Here's my solution, Chop up an old lizard skin chainstay protector wrap it round ...

I think it's the snugness factor. DS slept in his car seat for the first 4wks of life. After that he loved being swaddled, it got him to sleep through the night. Do you have an incline for him with side rolls? That will help the crib feel smaller.

ITA. If they is a way ds will sleep, let me sleep there. It's not worth getting worked up right now. Make another appointment but I believe you would know if it was reflux b/c that usually involves a lot of spitting/throwing up. Maybe it's gas - try some of those gas tablets or drops and see if that helps first.
