In 2007, ConnieG posted a reminder to buy after-holiday sales the occasion's of dish towels and sox. It's one of the better ideas, IMO, and could be fun to plan ahead for gifts. What do you do seasonally that might prepare for one gift occasion? -anna in tn -Sing your song, dance your dance, tell your tale. - Frank McCourt...

For some reason, October is the month with the largest seasonal adjustment down in jobs. So the increase in the unemployment rate does not reflect people actually losing jobs. It reflects the belief that ...

If you go to the website for your county's department of cooperative extension (federal program every county in the US has), you should be able to get a list of vegi/fruit by season. The list will show both what is being planted and what is being harvested every month for your exact area. You can then go to local harvest on the web and find places in your area, selling these items. I prefer ...

I really agree about staying flexible and our system is similar to what Yooper posted. I meal plan, but only dinner, and only for a week at a time. If I try to plan longer than that it doesn't let me take best advantage of sales or take into account the variation in our schedule. For snacks we just rummage for whatever - crackers, cheese, fruit, peanut butter toast, leftovers, ...

We stayed at Riverside 10/22 to 10/29. I am not sure if the marina is open seasonally or not but we did fish and it was a blast. We never did get on the slide because by the time we made it to the pool the lifeguard was off duty so the slide was closed. I am really looking forward to satying at CSR though. I am undecided as to what we are going to do for late lunch/dinner when we arrive ...
