*Just to clarify there are no symptoms of H1N1* However, ds is vomitting and very pale. No headache, no aches. He's had a cough for a few days and has been tired. One other hint with him.. he was sleep walking a few nights ago. (Don't ask me why he does that.. but if he's sleepwalking it generally precludes an illness of some sort.) So without a fever or aches how do I determine what this ...

I received both a seasonal flu shot and H1N1 vaccine this year. Only the seasonal flu shot gave me symptoms. This is why we all love the study of medicine. Such a puzzle, it is.

I have been desperately seeking a seasonal flu shot, and can't find them anywhere! My OB has been consistently out, and my reg. PCP is also. I've tried Walgreens, HEB, the health clinic. They're all out of it. I'm also needing the thimerosal-free version they recommend pregnant women get, so that makes it even more complicated. Any suggestions? Thanks!

So, even though most people did not get the H1N1 flu vaccine this year, due to the shortage, all those that got the flu will have future immunity? Even if it is a different strain? That would be cool.

Sooo, my girls both have gotten the Synagis shots (started last month, go again tomorrow), Seasonal Flu Shot & H1N1 (getting second dose next month for flu shots). I asked the nurse how long does it take to go in effect for protecting them from the flu and she said immediately. Is this correct? For some reason I thought it takes a few weeks to really get into their system. Also, does anyone in ...

From msnbc.com the other day... Two doses are necessaryParents’ concerns are valid, said Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease. He oversaw the clinical trials of swine flu vaccine in adults and children and says latest results indicate that young kids need two doses about a month apart for complete immunity. After a single dose of vaccine, ...

Replying to: Swine Flu vs Seasonal Flu The flu is the flu. Pig, human, chicken or whatever. There's no difference between it's symptoms. You wouldn't be typing if you had the flu. That's how bad it makes you feel. High fever is the biggest symptom. Body aches next. runny nose and sneezing/cough comes last (1-2 days later). But your body would be hurting so badly and you'd be feeling so ...

I'm a pharmacist (and an immunizer) for HEB...as of a week or so ago, the Hancock HEB still had the seasonal flu vaccine. The CVS at El Salido also had some vaccine, as did both north Randall's stores. I didn't get the thimerosol-free vaccine when I was pregnant. You actually get more mercury in 1 can of tuna than you can from the vaccine. The Fluvirin is what HEB carried, and it is ...
