I have always used Raggtop sealant on all my tops, but have decided to try the BMW sealant after reading here that it will give a "blacker" look. I got the last bottle at the dealer and the instructions have been torn off. Can anyone tell me how to mix and how to apply? Thanks.

My home gas forced air unit wasn't working so I had to do some digging into the innards of the heater. I had to open up the chamber where the pilot light and burner are, there was a orange strip of sealant between the 2 metal pieces. So what sealant do I need to use to seal it back up? Do I just need RTV or do I need some special heat resistant stuff? Thanks, Jeff

In a rented house, who's responsibility is it to maintain bath sealant? I have one side telling me it is the tenant's responsibility, as it isn't part of the fixtures and fittings and is essentially part of the "decor", whereas the other side is saying it sits squarely with the landlord. The maintenence company have submitted an estimate for £450 to make good the bathroom, and also ...

Hi everyone, I'm curious about what sealant type and brands folks are using between the cam housing and cylinder heads. I know Porsche recommends Dow Corning 730 but it seems to be $$$ and I haven't been able to find it here in PHX. Porsche also recommends Dow Corning 111 for the O-rings. I was going to use motor oil to coat the O-rings. I found a broken cylinder stud on a valve ...

I am taking my greyhound for his second dental this week, the first was before we adopted him 3 yrs ago. Our vet is recommending a dental sealant, Sanos, following the cleaning. I do not know much about this, and am wondering if anyone has ever heard of or used this product. Jake has a very sensitive tummy so we cannot use turkey necks to keep his teeth clean. We do brushing as often as...

The OEM water pump gasket was installed dry, the factory manuals don't say anything about gasket sealant. I have done it both ways on cars without issues. The old gasket was a kind of plastic looking material. The new gasket that came with the new (Graf) water pump is more of the traditional stiff cardboard type. What have you guys done...dry or sealant?

Today I replaced my broken bias plate. When I took off the old one, I noticed it had been sealed into place with some sort of silicone sealant. Should I seal the new one in place too?

I've been having good luck with the ghetto tubeless setup, but I'm thinking of trying this new sealant. The reviews are great, although none are really for downhill. The main difference between this and stan's is that this "bubbles" up so that it fills the inside of the tube and has more of a chance at finding and sealing any leaks. Links: http://www....

Any tips on achieving a smooth crossover of sealant eg. in the shower corner where a vertical meets a horizontal run? I have mastered the straight runs, but have made a mess at the corner! Thanks Alan

Hello members, Most of the E39 M5 owners don't have a spare. I wonder if anyone knows if the Slime tire sealant really worked? Can this product be filled up so you can drive it like the 'run flat' tires? Thanks.

I purchased some cute pink beads at a bead show and strung then with a sterling silver flower pendant. The necklace was gorgeous except the bright pink smudge of dye that was left on my neck. What can I use to keep the color from smudging onto my neck? I love the look of the necklace but hate the pink ring around my neck and collar shirt. BYW: Shout Advance is great to removing the dye/grease...
I recently took my DCR oil mod out of my head and noticed that RTV sealant had been sucked into the bottom of the oil mod and was clogging the bottom holes on it. I figured it was a fluke, but upon removing the oil mod out of my recently purchased DCR race head I found that this one had also been clogged with RTV. I snapped a picture to show where it was clogged: Is it just a coincidence...

I am one of the many that got a HOSE job at the dealership when I bought my MS3. Well for the measly cost of $399.00 I got the ResistAll paint sealant system applied. OK I just ordered some Flat black Mazdaspeed hood stripes and I was wondering what you guys would use to take off the sealant but not harm the clearcoat so that the stripes adheres well. I called ResistAll and they said use a ...

It's only my driverside. It's been foggy for over a month so I removed it, took it apart, and dried everything out. I then put RTV sealant around where the outer glass meets the metal, the rubber seal at the seam where you pull it apart to get to the other internal pieces, and then a bead around that outer seam. That was yesterday and I haven't had the fog lights on since, so today it started to ...

I have a pool deck that is existing and want to put a new overlay around this area. Once the old overlay is ground off there is concrete underneath. To prevent moisture from coming up, should a membrane or sealant be put on the original concrete around the pool deck before the new decorative overlay is put on??
