was prompted to create this thread after browsing through the 2008 Personal Ballot thread and being mortified at the mentions in the Best Adapted Screenplay category. Now this category is weak, to be sure. Unlike Original Screenplay from this year (where there are at least a dozen rock-solid contenders,) there are NOT a plethora of brilliantly adapted screenplays. But I was ...

Greetings. I own an infocus screenplay 5700. I recently bought a new bulb to replace the old one and while in the process I misplaced the metal arms that connect the bulb to the frame it rests on. The arms are like the metal contact bars that conduct current I believe. On these bars you also connect the plastic collars that almost fit like boxing gloves on these metal arms. I attached this ...

I actually liked the screenplay. Great for a romantic comedy and the way all the stories intertwined was fabulous. I hope the characters aren't changed too much. Though I can tell the story's already been tweaked. . . I liked the surprizing momemnts and it wouldn't be the same if they changed the characters "On stage, I make love to 25,000 different people, then I go home alone."

Hi, does anybody know the specific term for "outline" of a screenplay? I thought of "bozza", but I don't know if it's the specific term. The term is taken from an interview to a tv show producer. He says: "I find there are two types of writers: writers who write the outline and writers who write the script. The former take all the material from the outline and deliver the script version of ...

...without being involved in it becomes a mere illustrator, resulting in dead and monotonous films. Agree? Disagree? I'm interested to hear people's thoughts on this.

All in all, I can only give this movie a "meh". The screenplay wandered WAY too far from the book. Several key elements from the original story are missing. The movie is too long (2 hours 20 minutes). The acting is good, the scenery is lovely. It's definitely one to put on the "wait til it comes out on DVD" list. I'm starting to think Dan Browns novels are too complex to put on film ...

I had every intention of publishing this 300 pager titled HOW TO SPEAK SCRIPT , but somehow feel more inclined to share it on line via my site. Less complicated. For those of you looking for some screenplay writing tips, I'll be posting chapters over the next few months, though not necessarily in any order. Here is chapter 9 - Brevity and Clarity, two key elements to script ...
from the web "Normally we do a staff play at the end of the academic year," says Rob Faulkner, head of drama at Xaverian, who wrote the screenplay with fellow drama teacher Wynn Moran. What is a staff play? A play in which the staff of what (school) partakes? Thank you.
