And that is not meant as a compliment. This is an OK crime picture, but I don't see how it's any superior to early Scorsese, or French Connection, or Varrick/Pelham, the Untouchables, and a long list of equally good or better films. There, daddy, do I get a gold star?

After watching The Departed again, i couldn't help but to think that if Christopher Nolan passes the opportunity of doing the 3rd Batman film, Martin Scorsese would make one hell of a movie if given a chance.

I was listening to King Missile this morning and thought this would be a good question to ask. Please give a detailed answer. Not only did he get to work with one of the greatest director's of all time but the movie look's great i'm very excited to see it And i noticed he has a lot of project's lined up i'm happy for the guy and being in a Scorsese Flick is a good push for other great movies

I say. Choose films based on the quality of the director. Spielberg Yes. Tony Scott No. Ridley Scott Yes. Dakota needs to establish a relationship with the best directors. Scorsese, Fincher, Soderbergh, Jackson, etc. What do you think?

i recently bought a blu-ray player and a high def t.v.. one of the first blu-ray discs i was going to buy was THE DEPARTED. but the blu-ray disc does not have the 90min. career spanning doc. on Scorsese that was on the regular dvd. is that rip off or what?
