I would like to add V(1983) to the mix, as this was a major oversight. I have recently re-watched this film and it is clearly one of the best Sci-fi films from the 80s. This is a movie that deals with some very disturbing and complex social issues that have their scary parallels in today's society. The movie also has some very good acting and decent FX to top it off.
