How far can you scale a video file (in the motion tab) before visible degradation will show up on the finalized video? Any pointers on scaling in general to minimize this effect? Thanks!

I have read about the problems Premiere has with down scaling and the solutions by Dan Isaac and Jon Geddes but I am wondering if those solutions are applicable to my situation, because I am not down scaling. I have a project for a client who will be playing their video on an LCD TV from a DVD player so they want 720x480 NTSC 16:9 video. The videographer shot all of the footage in SD 4:3....

How in FrontPage 2002 can I get a header graphic that is 577x80px to stop scaling down to 500x80px once uploaded, which squashes its look? For the life of me I can't figure out how that started or how to get rid of it. It looks good in preview and in browser preview, but after it's uploaded it appears squashed, and its properties ...

Windows 7 has a new mechanism for scaling so that screens are easier to read on higher resolution monitors. When Windows 7 is installed on a PC with a higher resolution monitor, it automatically increases scaling by 25% or 50%. Most programs handle this fine, and everything scales appropropriately. However, PEP does not handle this properly and the screens become a mess. To check if scaling ...

OT Sometimes scaling back is the best way to get ahead. Wall Street legend Hank Pryor (Kelsey Grammer) and his wife Tilly have been living the high life in New York City. That is until Hank is forced out of his CEO job and has to move his family back home to the small town of River Bend. A self-made man, Hank is used to running the show, but now that he's lost almost everything, can he learn how ...

Quoting from the Teesmouth Bird Club Website: 'An intriguing gull was found at Scaling Dam today and watched for over 3 hours by a number of observers, including myself, Martin Blick (who saw the bird fly in), Brian Foster, Alan Kraus and John Regan. It flew in at 12.10 and was ...

I used a scanned in drawing to pdf and saved it to a TIFF file. I uploaded the TIFF file into a DWG file as an underlay. I need to set up the drawing so that I can get correct scaling for linier measurements. Thanks

I have a List Component being resized at runtime based on the size of the Stage. It seems to scale the content rather than just changing the bounds of the list. Is there a way to change its size programatically without scaling the content?

Hi I had a successful upgrade to 2010 (KDE) from 2009.1 and so far I experienced only minor problems that I'm slowly solving. I noticed that the system (laptop) doesn't respond to the power management settings and it seems to run always at full speed (2GHz). Even if I select a CPU frequency policy "power save" or "aggressive power save" it doesn't change behavior (the system worked fine...

Hi I have raw footage that is Full HD (1920 x 1080) but is badly framed. The final project format is 1280 x 720. What I want to be able to do is drag the Full HD clip into the sequence and be able to effectively reframe it (as the source is in effect, a large size). When I drag the clip to the sequence, it first asks if I want to change the sequence (which I say No), then it displays in...
