What is the atmosphere & attitudes there for African American families. Considering relocating there with my wife and kids. As a "northerner" I only have stereotypes from the 60's/70s ( the "old South") on which to base my perceptions. Please feel free to be completley direct and honest.

Both cities have sizable AA communities; I can't imagine an AA family being uncomfortable in either one. Brunswick's largest employer is FLETC (Federal Law Enforcement Training Center); as a result, you have a rather transient and diverse population as people are coming into the community from all over the country to train there.

The Dragonslayer came about when a guy attacked my wife in line for Everest. I had to convence him to leave her alone. The Disney folks did the rest. 'It's Cooler in Pooler!'
