According to multiple reports, San Diego is moving closer to naming Boston Assistant GM Jed Hoyer as the next General Manager of the Padres. This potentially could have implications on trades between the two organizations, including a potential (but unlikely, in my view) Adrian Gonzalez trade. Discuss.

I know, but there is room for improvement on our roster over the 2nd SS for depth. I really want to see how Tate Donovan does at 2B. I will go see a game of his in Portland when he makes it to AAA. Headly apparently is on shaky ground
