I'm new to Texas, what is the LEGAL way to transport my firearms to the range. Depending on the vehicle I may not have a trunk so what's the law in this regard? Unloaded magazines? Loaded magazines (not inserted into gun?) Have to be in a locked container? I currently do not have my CHL yet so I'm not clear on this states laws, so any advice would be great.

Every big carrier there is has a terminal in Laredo. I'm sure that all of them have their drivers avoid going through San Antonio for fear of the ghost of Sanata Ana.
