Hi All, It is with a heavy heart that I post this thread. I have two beautiful Samoyeds that I need to find a good home for. With a growing family and work commitments my husband and I simply do not have the time to give them what they require (a lot of love and attention). They are two beautifuls pure bred boys that are fantastic around children and would not hurt a fly. If you ...

Hey, I have recently been asked to take a mistreated Samoyed. He is 7 months old and adorable. I have never had one and was wondering does his coat destroy your house or is it bearable?

Well, my friend Denny just rebuilt my entire site because he wanted to update his software. He has just put a ton of time into this so I thought I'd share it. He's a retired art teacher with whom I worked. Tundra Ice Samoyeds

Is there a way to look up old info on the AKC web page? The trainer we are meeting with for Obi has been showing for 30 yrs and has many obediance titles through AKC. I tried searching his name under breeder in case he ever bred his Samoyeds, and for showing, and I can't find anything. I tried the OFA database too, but couldn't find a place to input owners name. I don't think he breeds any ...

Just found this site. I've been rather frustrated looking for a site to discuss dogs in general, and Samoyeds, mini-Aussies in particular. Both of my dogs were rescued from bad situations. Woody P Coltrane, the mini-aussie is 3 years old and weighs 10 pounds. Ozzie (Blizzard of Ozz) is 6 months old, 35.5 pounds. I've tried to join Samoyed groups so I can learn more about this--rather different--...

This time it is the Poodle that keeps us in stitches with the publication this month of The Crafty Poodle Knits from Kanine Knits Books. This is the 7th in the Crafty Dog Knits series taking its place with Samoyeds, Labs, Goldens, Berners, Newfs, and Corgis as breeds that have their own knitting book. Each book has 25 different designs for the breed. Check it out at http://www.kanineknits.com.

Just so this thread, how terrifying. Glad Snobear came throught the surgery well. I have a real soft spot for Samoyeds, and Snobear is certainly a gorgeous boy. Thoughts and prayers will be coming to you from our house this weekend, and I hope he is soon home.

If you dropped by my house you'd probably be disappointed. Because (with the exception of my office, which is more post-apocalytic than anything else) it's simply not very steampunk. I do have plans, but none have come to fruition. However, a couple of weeks ago I was invited by Bruce Rosenbaum to visit his home in Sharon, Massachusetts and ...

Re: Retrievers I've seen some Tollers in agility. They're a pretty uncommon breed (especially in the states, they're more common in Canada), so that contributes to why they aren't higher profile. Generally any dog breed can be good agility dogs. I've seen everything from pugs to samoyeds to rottweilers do great in agility! Tollers are an interesting breed, from what I've read. ...

The sun is shining, and the air is clean. Today is the last day for burning until March 1, but since I can't get out to the burn pile, that will have to wait until spring! This is the second morning in a row that fibromyalgia pain has crept past sleep and awakened me. I took a pain pill and did a crossword puzzle while waiting for the pill to take ...

So sorry you lost your beloved pet. Yes, we all have breeds we love but basically if you love dogs, you love all dogs. And it's so hard to lose them. They just don't stay with us long enough. We've lost our Newf and one of our Samoyeds over the past two years and I still can't talk about it without tearing up. I hope the love of your other animals helps you. Take care.
