So what's the verdict? Dan, are you going to sell your salicylic acid in *alpha* mode now, or shut down production? Should I buy 200 bottles now if I want access to them in the future!?! If you decide not to continue, could you recommend a brand? Thanks!

I have moderate/severe back acne these days. I'd rather not do AHA twice a day (time-management) and I'm done using BP on my back due to too many ruined clothes and sheets. I use SA in the shower and AHA. Do these work together? I'm not getting great results.. =(

ive been using RAM .04 for almost 2 weeks now and i want to start using BHA (salicylic acid). i have paulas choice 2% BHA liquid and was wondering if i should use it before or after the RAM .04??? my skin isnt sensitive to BHA and i have had good luck with it in the past!!! i like to keep things simple so the least amount of products is definitely ideal. I've heard conflicting reports on whether this is ok or not when pregnant. I haven't gotten a chance to ask my OB yet .. I saw the derm and he recommended Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash for my face. I know that it contains Salicylic Acid, so I asked if it was ok while pregnant. He didn't see why not, but asked his currently pregnant co-worker, who advised against it for the 1st trimester....

Hi, I'm wondering what would be a good facial cleanser to use while I'm treating my skin with Isotrexin (isotretinoin 0.05% + erthromycin 2.00%). If someone else who has used a similar gel could let me know what face wash you used, I'd really appreciate it! Also has anyone here used a salicylic acid face wash at the same time as one of these gels? I was recommended the Neutrogina 2-in-1 ...

I got a little freaked out today. I read in a book that using anti-aging creams and acne treatments, particularly with salicylic acid can lead to fetal abnormalities. Is this true? Does anyone have any information on this? I just purchased an exfoliator and starting using it and of course it contains salicylic acid so now I am unsure what to do!

I've been using Neutragena's Healthy Skin anti-wrinkle cream for acne prone skin. I've had great success with it. I just found out that they dicontinued it! The cosmetic girl at my local pharmacy told me that few product lines carry that combination because "there aren't many people with wrinkles and acne". (sigh ) Any suggestions?

So, I recently switched facewashes and picked up a bottle of Biore's pore unclogging exfoliating facewash. I used it a couple times (because none of my baby books ever mentioned anything about Salicylic acid...only the internal and more aggressive stuff) and then stopped when I found out (a couple days later) that it was potentially harmful to the baby. Okay, but I went to wash my face this ...

Paula's Choice BHA (SA) liquid is one I use religiously as an adjunct to the Regimen, and it has helped make my skin as soft as a baby's butt. It works well as a toner too. However, it's not that good at treating the actual acne, so I use BP as well. [http://www.paulaschoice.com/product/two-percent-b eta-hydroxy-acid-liquid?filter=itemtype%3aproduct] The exact same product/formula is ...

QUOTE (Kill Your Acne @ Nov 17 2009, 12:16 AM) AHA and Salicylic Acid at the same time does not work at all. For reasons unknown, they seem to cancel each other out. Here's what you should do, because it works 99% for me: Take your shower in the morning. Do not use hot water. Keep it lukewarm. Once you are all wet, turn off the water. Grab your SA, squeeze out a generous ...

Hey everyone! I recently put up a post regarding good antibacterial soaps for body acne. I've been growing my hair out, which has caused a little break out behind my neck/upper shoulders. It's not severe, but but enough that I know I should be treating it with something. I've been using dial antibacterial soap for about a week now and I don't know... At first, it seemed to be drying up all...

Proactive, iirc, is essentially salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. You could try to dupe using + "natural" salicylic acid aka willowbark extract, but you want to use an item that has enough of it to matter. Instead of BP, you could try diluted tea tree oil, since it also kills germs on the skin like BP does. A general routine would have a basic cleanser, a SA/willowbark treatment, and ...
