Hi, I'm wondering what would be a good facial cleanser to use while I'm treating my skin with Isotrexin (isotretinoin 0.05% + erthromycin 2.00%). If someone else who has used a similar gel could let me know what face wash you used, I'd really appreciate it! Also has anyone here used a salicylic acid face wash at the same time as one of these gels? I was recommended the Neutrogina 2-in-1 ...

I got a little freaked out today. I read in a book that using anti-aging creams and acne treatments, particularly with salicylic acid can lead to fetal abnormalities. Is this true? Does anyone have any information on this? I just purchased an exfoliator and starting using it and of course it contains salicylic acid so now I am unsure what to do!

I've been using Neutragena's Healthy Skin anti-wrinkle cream for acne prone skin. I've had great success with it. I just found out that they dicontinued it! The cosmetic girl at my local pharmacy told me that few product lines carry that combination because "there aren't many people with wrinkles and acne". (sigh ) Any suggestions?

So, I recently switched facewashes and picked up a bottle of Biore's pore unclogging exfoliating facewash. I used it a couple times (because none of my baby books ever mentioned anything about Salicylic acid...only the internal and more aggressive stuff) and then stopped when I found out (a couple days later) that it was potentially harmful to the baby. Okay, but I went to wash my face this ...

Ladies, how to know if one should use Benzoyl Peroxide OR Salicylic Acid to treat her acne? I have terrible acne and I am considering using Stridex, but not sure if I should use the rex box (salicylic acid) or the Power Pads box ? Your recommendations are appreciated.

Hey, I was wondering if any of you could recommend some good Salicylic Acid products that you can get at a local drug store. If looking for Salicylic Acid without any other things like moisturizer or some other crap in it. Thanks

I was going to get Dan's BP, but after hearing that it can cause red marks, I'm not sure. Does Salicylic Acid also cause red marks after the acne has heeled?

Well I tried the 'Neutrogina 2-in-1 visibly clear wash' and I wouldn't recommend it! After using it twice a day for just two days my skin had got noticeably worse - I would say I had roughly twice as many spots as before I started using it. Seems salicylic acid and a retonoid cream is just a bit too rough for my skin. Thought I would mention it in case someone else was wondering the same ...
