-The bidding begins this Wednesday at 8:30 PM ET for only MLB Starting Pitchers and Minor League Starting Pitchers. I am not needing any owners right now, but if the owners haven't done their roster template by tomorrow, I will need atleast three new owners to replace a few teams. If you are interested in this league after reading all of the rules, please email me at RyanBostonRedsox_Tw9@...

I am commish of a 12 team $100 auction salary cap redraft league. This was our 1st year doing it and owners have mixed reviews. I'm looking for some creative ideas for 2010. The Positives - Very challenging. Have to make tough decisions on keeping players at inflated salaries. Much like real NFL teams - Keeps free agent bidding in check. No ridiculous overbids or unlimited spending...

if the cap is 53 million as i think its projected and we have these current players signed for next year curry 11.2, jefferies 6.8, gallinari 3.3, hill 2.6, chandler 2.1 and douglas 1.0 that would total 27.3 for 6 players, i believe the minimum is 13 so we wouuld have 25.7 million for 7 players, league minimum of lets call it 1.0 and a max deal of 16.7 allowed to be offered we take that off of ...

WHY? Corporate capitalism is making a sham of the sport? All owners belong to GREED CLUB. The difference is THE YANKEES PUT THEIR GREED BACK INTO THE TEAM...................... the other owners are always cutting corners to save face. BS to them.

Good information on a potential capped year or uncapped year. Looks like there is benefits to both. Uncapped year would allow us to get out from under contracts and re-sign our players. A capped year is going to limit the free agents on the market and in a year where we are going to have money to spend anyway. Personally, I hope they get something worked out. I think the salary cap is a good ...

Whatever, I aint arguing over nothing except the fact that the Giants are so stupid to give Eli Manning the highest paid contract in the NFL even though the guy is a chump example of his older brother? And another thing, I work on Wall Street and am a bit ticket. If companies like Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan buy out the luxury box to entertain me shut your mouth. I don't want to hear ...

Not that the Player's Union would ever go for it but what if MLB were able to adopt a player salary cap of say 200 million and a lowest salary floor of 150 million? Does anybody think even the majority of owners would vote for that? Not in a hundred years!

What if the salary cap was like environmental carbon credits? What if a team could trade draft picks for cap space? For example say a team had 3 mil in capspace, you trade them say a second round pick for 2 mil of their cap space. So in exchange for their cap space, you give them a draft pick and gain 2 mil in cap space. Small market teams who can barely afford to make the minimum payroll ...

Are you guys/gals for implementing a salary cap in baseball? Yes or no, what is your argument? Would you rather see baseball revise their luxury tax system? The only teams getting taxed in 2009 were the teams with payrolls exceeding $162MM. By the way, this number will go up by $8MM each of the next two seasons. First time offenders get "fined" with a 22.5% tax for ever dollar over the limit....

one great thing about the super bowl is you never know whos gonna be in it and it fun to see the teams battle for that spot. one bad thing about mlb playoffs/world series.at the begining of the season you always have an idea of whos gonna be there and unless a surprise comes (marlins) you pretty much have it narrowed down to 2-3 teams by july or august. so how about a salary cap? give the ...

there are a lot of teams in baseball that use money to their advantage, not as much as the Yankees but they do. If you want a salary cap put in Baseball, one team to back up your protest won't help that cause, and because you don't like them.

Why is there a salary cap on players salaries when teams don't follow it. There were rumors and facts last year that teams were paying over the $200.00 per game. You might as well lift it and let the teams pay as much as they want. there doing that now. If a team is losing money because of the salaries that is there fault. I think you are going to see alot of this going on this season with ...

If I was a team owner I would spend a lot of money to see my team win. I think a lot of people forget about how rich all the team owners are. Maybe instead of considering a switch to salary cap we should considera minimum spending and require teams to retain their star youngplayers. I watch Kansas City develop and lose star players year afteryear. They should be required to spend more. Would ...
