Hey need some help with why my Salamence sucks vs the elite 4. Stats are; HP - 220 Def - 147 SDEF - 140 SATK - 186 Spee - 159 Bashful Nature. I think Salamence is broken as hell. With 405 attack with Life Orb and DD, Outrage can nearly OHKO every non-steel pokemon in the game. They should have just stuck with the Diamond/Pearl movesets and not give him Outrage.

If they're both running DD sets - doesn't Salamence have higher damage/speed? xd Both are weak to SR, and have a 4x common weakness. (Ice, Lightning). Salamence has a couple more resistances (fire, grass, water) xd Outrage is way stronger than waterfall, but locks you in, but at least you'll likely score a KO. So after breeding and breeding I get a salamence with perfect IV's in speed and defense. Sadly, however. his attack IV is only 15... Now i understand that the higher the iv the higher the stat but my question is...in battle will the perfect speed IV make up for the not so great attack iv?...or should I just head back to the drawing board?
