I wrote the sentence below. I wonder whether the sentence construction is better with the bold "is" or not. Mont Saint-Michel is a small rocky island which projects about 1 km into the seaand is the most popular pilgrimage center in France.

I'm intending to book a hotel near the Saint-Michel Notre Dame station in Paris. Am hoping to find a lively neighbourhood with lots of cafes, restaurants, fast food and is safe to walk the streets at night. Hope to receive some advice from anyone who is familiar with this area. Thanks much!!

Hi - We'll be there on a Monday or Tuesday in June, I know it will be busy, I'm just hoping not as nuts as a weekend. Dear all, I need help from people who already been to Mont-St-Michel. So in October we travel throgh Soth-West France by car and we want to visit Mont Saint-Michel. I've heard that it's really worth stayng inside for a night in order to be able to discover this place in early morning. From other hand, it's more expensive then to stay outside, only expensive restaurants nearby...
