In the market for a sailboat. Top level criteria: - sailboat - 32-40' LOA range - full keel/skeg rudder - stability over speed - bluewater capable (of course a lot of other criteria go with this) - diesel - would like 2 private sleeping areas - this most probably will dictate a center cockpit, but it is the former not the later that I am interested in...

I'm looking for a trailerable sailboat, preferably with a fixed keel and in good condition. And of course with a trailer. Any vintage is fine. When was the last time you used your boat? Is it time to sell? What could you buy yourself for Christmas if you sold the boat you no longer use? Please call Dave at 607-272-6553 or 607-227-0583. Merry Christmas! Read more...

Thank you Coast Guard... I was concerned when I heard that this 80 year old veteran was living on his boat,(and then, after his rescue, in a shelter for the homeless). I understand, his life's total accumulated assests and provisions are his boat and it's contents. I now just hope he doesn't loose it all - from not being able to pay for his rescue, and for his boat's recovery. I don't know about ...

Hi, I thought there may be sailors who need to be away from their boat, but want to be sure their sailboat is protected and in good hands. Could you save money taking your boat out of a marina and putting it on a mooring with a boat sitter? Are you paying an expensive Captain to be a boat sitter? I have a USCG Master 100 ton inland license, USCG Mate 100 ton near coastal license...

Would like to get more experience as crew on a sailboat move or offshore race such as Vic-Maui. Open to a 2 to 4 week cruise with the right boat and a knowledgeable skipper. Would be equally interested in becoming part of a weekly race crew in Seattle. I have recently completed ASA bareboat cert. with San Juan Sailing and have sailed in Puget Sound on at least a dozen or so occasions...
