I have a very strange problem with my Lenovo T61. Maybe somebody has an idea on how to solve it... I have a wireless router at home (D-Link DI-524UP) and configured a SSID. I can connect with my iPhone, my older Fujitsu notebook, my Nokia N81 phone and also with my friend's notebook without a problem. But on my notebook (Lenove T61) I can't see the SSID at all. I tried to connect directly to ...

Title pretty much says it all. Don't really care if its visible or not, but just wondering if any of you have come across or use a unique SSID name for your wireless. Mine: I think it is "clarknetwor" or something like that. I am probably going to change it to something a little more clever like "Elvis lives here" or something ...

Need to change router SSID default name, and then reconfigure the wireless adapters in each PC to be compatible with the new router SSID. One PC has Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3 and the other Vista Home Premium. What are the steps to change the SSID in each PC? Your response will help in completing a home network wireless system. Sincere thanks ahead of time. 1 ...

Just got my hands on a Droid... and now I'm working out some kinks. My iPhone and laptop have no problem roaming aggressively between multiple access points we have at work that share the same SSID. I can't seem to get the Droid to do the same thing. I've tried downloading some wifi scanners, but they don't quite cut it. Is there a setting I'm missing? The expected behavior would be for the Droid...

I have been wondering about this for a while and I am trying to learn as much as I can about the different networking technologies and applications for them so that I can offer a greater range of services for my customers and be able to setup wireless networks for applications ranging from single buildings to multiple building hotels. I have a building (large sports bar / club actually) ...

Hello All, I asked this question on the Android Forum on Google Groups, but did not get an answers. I am hoping to get an answer here. I need to connect to a 802.1X WEP EAP-TTLS access point. This access point does not broadcast the SSID. After reading the following wiki it appears that I need to run the "HiddenSSID Enabler" from the Android Marketplace: Enabling Hidden SSID Hack - ...

I get the following message when using the HP Printer installation disk that came with my 4580 All in one.. The PC and the printer are connected to different networks. They must be connected to the same network. This can happen when you use the manufacturer's default network name (SSID)... It claims my IP addresses don't match up on the same network etc... Is there a way I ...

I have a Pavilion dv6810us Notebook that runs Vista Home Premium. It has the Atheros AR5007 WiFi adapter. About 10 days ago, it stopped scanning for wireless networks. I can only connect to a wireless network if I manually input the SSID and password in Manage Wireless Networks. The Connect to a Network screen shows the message, "Windows cannot find any additional networks". The ...

Last night we opened up the box, took out the printer and completed the 1st 8 steps. For step 9 I am using the Wireless Getting Started Guide. I gathered the needed information (SSID, WEP key), put the disc in, clicked all the NEXT or ACCEPT tabs. The screen has been an hour at: HP-Officejet 6500 E709 Series - Thank you for choosing HP Step 1 of 4 - Checking System. The bar on the bottom...
