I recently had to re-image my hard drive. I was running Vista Home Premium with SP1 installed. After the re-image I went to Windows Update and downloaded and installed over 80 updates. But I was not offered SP1 or SP2. My question is, do I need them? All of my original programs that I re-installed seem to be working right. Hi, I updated my PC from Windows Update to SP1 and restarted my PC. I suddenly get a continuous BSOD at the bootscreen, which then restarts my PC. I have tried safemodes and they do not work. I have installed Windows Vista SP1. Some error happen during the installation. I have uninstalled it but my system still show it is Vista SP1. I tried to reinstall Vista SP1, the pop up window showed it is on Vista SP 1, but when I tried to install Vista SP2, the system required me to install SP1 first.
