I was just thinking about getting back to warhawk and maybe buying socom. Just wondering how the online communities are doing? Do people still play the games or are they almost ghost servers? I know that MGO lost a lot of players due to MW2's release. Thanks for the replies (please only comment if you actually play the two games, I don't want MW2 fanboys to start going crazy).

I'm amazed that the producer slant six keeps putting out Socom with no single player campaign.that must really hurt the game sales.i used to love Socom but i haven't played it since the old ps2 game with single player and i won't be playing this.very disapointing

Got this the other week. It's my poor man's SOCOM rifle. It's a Norinco SKS 7.62x39. It came with the stock in the picture, a Tapco T6 stock, 2 other compiste stock, the ATI Monte Carlo stock and the ATI ultralight folding stock It also came with the original fixed 10-round mags and a detachable 37-round USA mags (shown in the picture) , stripper...

2004-production Springfield Armory Socom 16 with approximately 500 rounds fired. Absolutely no issues/marks/damage, etc. TRW USGI internals, Springfield bolt and barrel. 100% reliable with even cheap mags. I would much prefer to trade, #1 choice being a Springfield Armory Scout Squad or Bush model with the 18" barrel. Will also consider other M1A's (Full size, Loaded, NM, etc) $...

I im a big fan of Socom and the psp Socom's. I dropped $250 + tax and $180 in PSN for the Psp Go, just for FTB 3. Im now think, is the same thing going to happen to Socom FTB3 as LBP Psp? So who else plays this game? I know a lot gave up on it in the beginning, but it's seriously improved. Now that they're coming out with DLC, it should be even better. I believe it's the best tactical online shooter out there.

A friend of mine is planning on picking up a Springfield M1a or a M1a socom 16. I told him that the gas system is made for military 7.62x51. I understand that most commercial ammo can beat up the op rod. What is the good commercial ammo to use in these guns? He doesn't reload so that isn't an option.
