Somebody is sending outgoing mail through my smtp server. Do anyone know what it is? I did try mail.mtn.co.sz and mail.mtn.co.za on port 25 but its not working and Swazi MTN customer services dont know what a smtp adress is.

Hi All I want only my domain users can send mails through my Exchagne Server, and not allow any other user to just put the IP Address of the SMTP Server and send through My Exchange. I tried to searched about something like SMTP Authentication, but I only can find how to restrict the IP Addresses that are allowed to relay through the Exchagne Server. Very strange, there seems to be a problem for ASP.Net to reach your SMTP server and login. try to get additional details from SMTP, Windows and DNN event logs. Sebastian Leupold

Hey, No worries, it was just a thought. just when you said you were going to make it open source, it made sense (in my head anyway) to pt it on somewhere like codeplex, that way you get the benefit of source at the least, and collaboration, if you wanted. Gary

helo, normally, the smtp port and smtp server is given by your email hosting provider. if you dun have any, then most easier way is to create 1 mail server. go BING some free mail server software,setup and you are ready to go. typically, SMTP port will be port 25, some is 587. i would suggest you to use the smtp server = localhost, port 25 and try your luck~
