Also an additional motivation for Sinopec to stall the reporting in addition to the auctions is to wait for clarification as to ERHE's blocks in the EEZ. This does require written in stone clarity for Sinopec to make a buyout offer.

Possibly but Sinopec would have information coming from multiple sources and they could collate that information in a timeframe that fits into their agenda . So they decide the pace at which things proceed and disclosure occurs The members of the JDA would be non the wiser.

I don't believe that Sinopec/Addax can or will withhold information from the JDA. If withheld they'd be in grave danger of contract breech. I've read that JDA at times has representatives on the drillships and that they have full access to the data. Can they read the data? ...that's a different question and one that be taken care of by hiring the right consultants. So that is a solvable problem/...

Pete ..The more thoughts on EEZ..IF Sinopec does aquire ERHE eventually and the 2 100% picks go well I could see Sinopec getting preferential treatment to have multiple blocks added to the 2 100% blocks to duplicate the process going on in JDZ now..(sounds like PEter N comment). A multi block development would be very appealing to STP..with 80 Plus billion Sinopec just raised they are locked and ...

You really think that Sinopec can screw the JDA around with not releasing information to them ? One would think that at least the Nigerian representation on the JDA would be knowledgable in the oil business but on the other hand the internal politics that is going on would no doubt make ones head spin. Any chance the individual members of the JDZ would be open to accepting a few monetary ...

Hard to believe a possible suitor (i.e... "Sinopec is also looking into other companies such as ERHC Energy which has multiple oil block assets in the Joint Development Zone [12].") would allow ERHC to choose the aforementioned blocks in the EEZ if they are to acquire said. Seems to me "IF" a buyout were to happen, it would be well within a reasonable timeframe "PRIOR" to the EEZ picks, allowing ...

Dr. J, It is unusual for a multiple block drilling campaign to hold results until the end. I know that on paper Addax is owned by Sinopec, but they are still operating as completely different companies. So in effect we have a multi-company, multi-block drilling campaign that are holding results until all wells are complete. It makes me giddy to think why!

will not be enough is my reasoning. sinopec has no reason to buy erhe. erhe's portion will come to sinopec automatically. thing is, it might be not enough. if so, asset becomes debt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that could be the reason why erhe is looking for revenue generating business. i welcome any challenge to my acutely accurate logical reasoning above. i know nobody can. ...
