Hi,( Moi moi) We arrive early Dec 31st by train in Rovaniemi. Will there be left luggage lockers in the station , or nearby ? Does anything exciting happen on New Years Eve , we leave again at 1700 for Levi ? Thanks for any advise.( Kittos)

Hi, I am going to travel to Finland this Christmas to go skiing and sight seeing and hopefully also see northern lights. The plan is to fly into Kittila airport then rent a car to drive to Levi to stay there. Also thinking of visiting Rovaniemi if accessable by car. I would appreciate anyone's advice on driving in winter in these areas. RYO

Hi all, I am going on my first holiday to Lapland shortly after Christmas! we will be hiring a car for the week & hope to visit rovaniemi for the day. We will look at the city, go to some musuems, santa attractions etc. what would you suggest is worn for a day trip? would jeans be ok? along with fleece and ski jacket? surely waling round the city we wouldnt need...
