well, I am personally sick of all the hype about huskies, german shepherds, pitbulls, rottweilers, deberman pinschers, alaskan malamutes, etc., being some sort of monsters. theyre only monsters if you raise them to be one. they snap because humans have shown them no love. i feel sorry for these animals. being shunned, and abused. do these faces look like they would hurt you? ...

I was wondering if anyone knows of anyone thats breeding rottweilers? he's on oahu but any island will do. Most important is that it's pure bred and has papers to show lineage. Thanks for any help!

Two Rottweilers attacked Earl this morning as well as a couple of deer. Think I was pissed ? Animal control people never call me back about these dogs and some day they are going to kill a neighborhood child. Anyways, I ran outside to try and get them off Earl and then they started after me. I ran inside, got my 12-gauge and shot twice, hitting one of the dogs in the butt. They ran off into the ...

Lately I have been thinking about these two breeds of dog. The Rottweiler, and the German Shepherd. Considering all of the traits between the two breeds, which one do you think dominates? ( I know, silly to post that question on a GSD Forum LoL )And do you think these breeds are particularly similiar? And if so, in which fashion? Intelligence? Strength? Work ethics? I think both breeds share a ...

I love rotties but do they compare to the GSD? naw. ok I know i am bias but I work with dogs and often see 15-20 dogs in a day and not one has come even close to the intelligence of my GSD. In fact one of the smartest dogs I ever knew was a rottie and even he wasn't close to Paige the Rage.

I don't think any animal breed should be banned but you can't really stop the instincts bred into them for hundreds of years. people should know the breed of dog they own CAN be overly aggressive and should take measures to keep them in line (obedience training, ALWAYS keeping them on a leash, not bringing them around small children, etc) I love pitbulls to death but I'd never bring one ...

Rottweilers all the way. I grew up with them and I just love the breed. They are the best of everything and all my experiences have been great. Right now we only have one but he is very good and loves everyone and everything. He is just a big lap dog, not a mean bone in his body.

A trip to the vet would be a good idea. Undetected illnesses can cause aggresion issues. Get a senior check-up including a full blood panel. Rottweilers are a determined breed and they need owners that are more determined/stubborn then they are. You can't let her get away with things. This doesn't mean being cruel or harsh, it just means being a leader. But, do get your dog to the vet for a check...

The breeder is in North Carolina, but the puppies are sold in Pennsylvania, a convenient way of separating the source of the puppies from the eventual owners. It would all be much easier if we wanted a big dog -- the local shelters are full of large, mixed-breed dogs, but they're often more challenging breeds like rottweilers, pit bulls and German shepherds. The day a dog comes home to...
