1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data Five objects of equal mass are shown below together with the axis about which they are rotating. Select the objects in order of increasing rotational energy Solid Sphere, about any diameter, with R = 3 m and ω=5 rad/s Thin rod, about axis through center, perpendicular to the length with...

Does anyone remember the name of the rotational diet that was advertised on TUG's opening page. I saw it, read up on the premise of the eating plan and the next day the ad disappeared and now I can't find it again. It supposedly was to jump start your metabolism into 'eating' your fat by tricking your system into not knowing what the daily food intake would be in terms of carbs and fat. ...

Get a grinding rotational noise from front right of my 1991 jette 1.8 8v 010 tranny. Thought it was a wheel bearing and repalced it, both sides but no end to noise, Replaced the brake rotors and pads because they were ugly thought that may work, no way. Thinking the trans or trans axle will be next step but cannot figure where to check fluid or any thing on trans axle. Shifts fine by the way, ...

H2 has a moment of inertia equal to 4.603 x 10-48 kg m2. 1) Calculate its bond length. 2) For the first 3 rotational energy levels, find the a) l quantum number b) ml quantum number c) the degeneracy of each rotational level d) energy eigenvalues e) the magnitude of l Ok so I calculate bond length using the I=mu(reduced mass) * r^2...

Having a problem figuring this out; it appears extremely easy but I would understand if rotational motion comes into play. I'm just not sure where. A cylinder of mass 2kg is rolled up an incline by means of a string arranged as shown in the figure. (incline with angle theta and a cylinder being rolled up with a string designating tention) What is the minimum ...

OK...I saw the lengthy and somewhat acrimonious thread on varieties of dog foods...I don't want to start a new version of that, but something there did strike me. The idea of rotating food. We did that with our dog who lived to age 15, mostly because she was a very picky eater and seemed to simply grow tired of one food after a bit. So we'd get something else - a different, brand, different ...

A small, solid sphere of mass 0.8 kg and radius 79 cm rolls without slipping along a track consisting of slope and loop-the-loop with radius 4.5 m at the end of the slope. The slope is at an angle of 58 degrees about the horizontal. The sphere starts from rest at the top of the track at a height h, where h is large compared to 79 cm. If the g = 9.8 m/s^2 and I(solid sphere) = 2/5 * m * r^2, ...

When I place my Camry in reverse and turn the steering wheel to the right I hearing several popping noises coming from what conclude is the right front end. Once I get to highway speeds (50 mph) I hear a rotation noise similar to that commonly associated with flat spotted tires. I have had the suspension checked and tires rotated by several vendors since the noises and sounds started. I ...

So last years Azonic Outlaws weigh 2550 grams in 150mm spec and the 2010 Outlaws weigh about 2235 grams. The price difference is about $200. So is losing 300g of rotational weight worth $200? Or (put another way) is it worth it to spend the extra $200 on the new Outlaws? Thanks

Here's a paradigm shift for you...I'm looking for the smallest diameter rim I can fit on an B6 S4 with stock brakes. I'm contemplating having some Kodiak rims made up for autocrossing, and would like to be able to run the smallest diameter feasible to reduce rotational mass, lower CoG even further, and optimize gearing with shorter wheel and tire combination. I am thinking ...

I have unfortunately started to get atypical migraine (so it appears) over the last couple of years. I don't really get the headaches but one of the main symptoms is dizziness but periodically rotational vertigo (which is the one the CAA don't like!!). I am having some trouble finding a way of controlling these symptoms that the CAA will accept. If anyone has any experience of this or if ...

If a gyro spinning at 30,000RPM displays displays precession of an applied force by 90*, and the same gyro stationary displays precession of that same force by 0* ... so what happens at slower rotational speeds, for example is the force offset by only 30* at 10,000RPM?

1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data A wheel of radius 0.358 m is mounted on a frictionless horizontal axis. The rotational inertia of the wheel about the axis is 0.0421 kg·m2. A massless cord wrapped around the wheel is attached to a 3.21 kg block that slides on a horizontal frictionless surface. If a horizontal force of magnitude P = ...

Porsche 915 trans-axle transmission TALL 5th gear Here is a super tall 0.63 5th gear for the Porsche 915 transaxle from PHII. The gear is 32:20 ratio. The 32 tooth gear is cross drilled to decrease weight, and thus decrease rotational mass increasing response and decreasing transmission power loss. This gear set is NEW. It has only been removed from the box for inspection, it has never been ...

Hi! I'm a newbie in FEA world, using Marc preference for Patran. I've got two questions about FEA: The first one is, how can I specificate a moment (rotational force) in Patran? I've tried with the LBC 'Force', but no action seems to ocurre when the analysis is launched. The second question is about MPCs. I'd like to rotate a wheel around a central node. I've fixed all the translations, and ...
