hi again thanks for the advice, im going to order a combination of hid and cfls for as much light at the right spectrums as i can. but i just thought, my computer has a 650watt power supply. is it drawing approx as much power as a 600 watt HID light??

i doubt he gets any smell in the laundry room, worst that could come from this setup is a slight 'wrrrrr' sound from the air movement in the laundry room. the air is pulled thru the grow space by the fan so that hole is just a passive intake. one of the best cabs i've seen on here. i'm building it as we speak. the only thing this post lacks is a shopping list. very talented builder, hope...

We grew a plant in the woods behind the university... Very farfetched and crazy but it was just a stupid little experiment and it paid off BIG! Please man.. don't grow in your room.. My RA's are dicks and I'm sure yours are too.. they will rat you out man.

The formula for sizing a filter is to calculate the volume of the space (40 cu. ft. for you) divided by the number of minutes you'd like it to take to exchange the air in the space (CAN recommends 1-3 minutes). You then select the filter size based on the manufacturer's minimum recommended CFM rating. So, say you want to exchange every minute - you'd need a filter with a minimum CFM of 40....
