Hey folks: I was wondering if i could ask for your help with your favourite dining spots in the Old Town/Zona Romantica. We're staying basically on the beach and last year, we were renting a villa with a maid and cook, so we only ate out twice - BananaCantina & Daiquiri Dicks. I've been told: Red Cabbage Cafe El Bujo Mama Dolores Cafe de Olla...

Anyone know where I can buy Romantica ice cream dessert in the Belfast/Bangor area? It's made by Walls and looks like a cake, but it's made of ice cream. It comes in a sqaure shaped box. It's sold in the Republic, but very few places here do it. It's our favourite ice cream at Christmas, so looking to suprise the family. Thanks!

We leave tomorrow. YEAH!!!! (Had our first snowfall yesterday.) We're staying in Zona Romantica and would like to rent a car for just a day; but we don't want to go back out to the airport for one. Is there any place in in Old Town that rents from there? Thanks to anyone who finds this in time and can give us an answer.

After a couple of days on the beach, I learned that this (the place on Badillo) was the go-to place for empanadas they sold on the beach - soooo good. And, if you're on a budget, the price for four at the bakery was the same as one on the beach. I don't mind a guy making a living, but when I could buy 4 empanadas for 20 pesos as opposed to 20 pesos each on the beach, well you know what ...

Heya, I'm just looking at upgrading our double 4ft 6 pine bed for a king size ottoman bed, but need some advice. I plan to ideally buy something like this Hyder Bali bed which is well priced, and invest in a decent mattress like the La Romantica Madrid mattress. We want an ottoman as with our current bed we have a lot of junk and heavy items etc stored under our bed. Now for our pine...

My reply is of no real help, but I feel compelled to share. My sons and I were waiting on the Pier for a boat to Yelapa when I realized I should have provided them with some sort of breakfast (we were excited to have found an early water taxi, but this disrupted our breakfast plans, vague though they were.) Suddenly a man appeared with a tray of fabulous pastries at ridiculously ...

No Way Jose opened earlier this season and its my new favorite- great menu, incredible service and reasonable prices. The Shrimp Santana and their special Kiwi Margarita's were particularly good. Its on 5'eme de Febrero just off of L.Vallarta near the River Cuale Bridge. www.nowayjosemx.com

Have the Chiles de Nogada at the Red Cabbage. They are incredible. Can't wait to have them again in March. And can't wait to try some of the places mentioned that we haven't been before. Love these restaurant threads!

I am with traveller_yyz on No Way Jose...on our trip last month we ate there 3 times and we were not disappointed. We ate with a another couple the first night, a group of 8 the next night, and a group of 14 the last night. There was not a bad thing said. The caesar salad is made tableside with the dressing made from scratch -- a real treat. Jose even sang the last night (I don't think ...
