Hey everyone, So, I tried to get a roadworthy for my E36 but was told the car was too low. Never actually intended on it being so low, but when I asked for the car to be "lowered", they fitted super low king springs and I'm left with something I can't sell. I don't suppose anyone has a set of standard height or slightly lower springs for an E36 318i they'd be willing to part with...

Chassis providers still pushing roadworthy responsibility on drivers Quote: On a day when truckers who pulled intermodal chassis should be breathing a sigh of relief knowing their intermodal equipment is roadworthy its not looking like thats the case with at least one major group of intermodal chassis providers. Nah I don't need a roadworthy, just wanted attention. So if you got your flamers ready, I know you're still gonna flame me. Anyways I'm after the number of this independent dude who changes windscreens. I got his number a while ago off some bloke who worked at Windscreen Power on Old Geelong Rd, Hoppers Crossing but lost it since then. The guy charged me $160 from memory and he came to my ...

I'm trying to get a cj roadworthy in Victoria, and I'm having some trouble. I've had issues with some stuff below, and was just wondering how other peoples CJ's are, and what's stock standard on a CJ. 1/Does your cj have a Panhard rod/(Track bar) from the diff to the chassis? 2/Is your rear vision mirror able to come off in a crash? 3/Does your cj have a lap belt, or lap sash belt (...

Hey guys, I currently drive a '98 XJ, but I became a member of the Patriot family Wednesday afternoon when my dad decided to buy a 2007 Patriot Limited. Got it for a great deal, about $8,000 from a salvage yard... Why a salvage yard you ask? Well, technically the Jeep is legally totaled within the state of Pennsylvania. It looks like it got t-boned on the passenger side, but not by ...

It's perfectly roadworthy but I've heard some scary oop stories. Like NEW cars failing etc. How is that even possible? Nuke This User's Signature |...

If it is 'perfectly roadworthy' you have nothing to worry about. Horror stories you may have heard are likely just idiots whining. And sure a new car can fail. It may have a burnt out light or a nail ...

Happy Holidays everyone, I've been wondering about the feasibility about installing a TDI engine in a BMW 3 Series. It's a project I've been thinking of starting; buying a 3 series BMW (2002-2005 years) with high K's on it but runs well enough to be roadworthy, then ditch the engine and convert a TDI to work with it. Has anyone ever heard of this being done, if it is even possible to do so...

Took my '63 out for a run today. It's cold and raining but I needed to do some test runs to make sure she's roadworthy for a 70 mile one way trip. I'd previously had the tank out for cleaning but have not driven the car much. It's heading up to the body shop for a makeover. Drove about 40 miles with 2 stops and all was well. She started each time without issue. I get home, pull it into the ...

Quote: I think you will find it is legal, provided that the test is pre-booked. I've recently done the same prior to selling a RRC that was on SORN to a friend, who (understandably) needed to know what would need doing. Had to pay £20 excess on my insurance as well even though the test station was just around the corner! Some may say 'what ...
