Does the bringing into the fold of preferred shareholders make it easier to create a rights issue? A nagging thought I have is that I can see why the consolidation has occured (to deliver something more than zero to Ords in the event of a low offer) and I can see that simplyfying matters might make a bid easier. BUT, with the company seemingly primed for strong growth, it is obvious that ...

I am rather fed up with all this bleating about Ladbrokes, although I must say I agree with most of the sentiments expressed. I wonder, however, how many of you blogging away here took up the Rights Issue, which is now showing a healthy profit of almost 30% ?

Now, I bought it from PC World, who had a 1 year warranty on the Xbox, but which has now obviously expired. Fine I thought, Microsoft operate a repair system where you can ...

Why are so many men involved in the abortion rights issue? Men do not carry a baby watermelon in their tummies. Men do not experience throwing up and being sick and unfunctionable for months. Men's lives are not changed forever because of a birth. Men's lives are not at stake bringing a baby to term in a risky pregnancy. And men do not have to indure a rape and it's traumatic memories. Men's ...

I currently own 10,000 Lloyds shares worth approx £8500 and I am thinking of participating in the forthcoming Rights issue. From what I've read the lowest price shares will be offered to current investors is 15p (90 billion shares @ 15p=£13.5 Billion). For me to take up my full rights I need to find £5,000. My total investment would be £13,500. However if I take the mid range value being ...

Hello I wonder if anyone can answer a few rather amateurish questions ? I have a holding in LLOY shares, split equally between an ISA and a trading account. Average price is around 70p The future rights issue is confusing me, even with searching around the Internet! The feeling seems to be that a ratio of 2:1 at 25p will be offered. Assuming this, does this mean you are given 2 ...

HI all I took up my rights issue by selling part of my share holding to get the cash to take up my rights. As my holding was in an old PEP I could not put additional money in. Now the issue is all done and dusted I have checked on my figures to see if it was a worthwhile exercise. I have actually lost about £500 as a result of what I did so although I feel the shares will go up ...

"Only if the woman ask for the opinion from a male person then can the men say somting unless they should have no rigth to say anything " -Okay, then only if the man offers to finance her choice should the woman get money. If not, then the women should have no right to it. See how that works?

But if they were shorting and we were hopefully bottoming out here, then they wouldn't be selling they would be buying in orde to close out the short. Or have I got it wrong.
