I was pondering a way to make rigging branches down a little faster and more efficient. Yea yea I know I'm in no position to be worrying about this yet blah blah blah. Anyway, instead of constantly tying, and then having the groundie un-tie, a running bowline, why not just DFL a steel 'biner to the end of your rigging line and use speed slings to girth hitch the limbs? Seems a lot quicker ...

Hello CGTalk! I was advised to repost my post here I am in dire need of assistance today. First of let me make it clear that I am a complete novice in rigging for Maya. The only rig I have ever made was a bipedal human rig, dabbling only in paint weights and using only the joint tool and IK Handles. I don't know anything like a reverse footlock, foot planting, blendshapes, contraints, ...

I did a few takedowns that required rigging heavy pieces of wood this year- they went well, but could have been better. I'd like my groundman to be able to handle the lowering with more control. When I cut the top off a pine tree it fell for 15 feet before it stopped because of rope slack and stretch. I don't have a port-a-wrap and don't plan to buy one right away, so I need to use the ...

Hello--I recently purchased and mounted a 1999 Mercury 50-HP FOURSTROKE for my 1989 Montauk. I am in the process of converting it from tiller to remote control. I purchased 20-foot-long Teleflex 600 control cables for shift and throttle (CC17920), and a Mercury [top-mount] control box (883711A12). The remote steering is rigged and was compatible with the Yamaha 90-HP Yamaha I took off the boat. ...

2009 Forum Awards discussion Since I can't find another thread about this, I'm making one. This is a general discussion thread for the 2009 forum awards. Now, my reason for this thread is this: What exactly constitutes rigging the forum awards? There has been talk that discussing voting opinions openly is agaisnt the rules and I ...

Explosives Gold Perk Any good place to get this once the game is complete? I tried rigging an entire area full of towers and such, but it seems those didn't count as explosive kills, but rather the fall. And I've tried repeatedly at the river crossings, but keep getting stuck at 7. I still have my "buy a gold perk" available, but my last 2 are Explosives and Mechanic,...

I'm having problem with rigging a robot hand(fingers actually). I can't come up with idea on how to rig the fingers, so they would push the pistant back. I'll use the hi solver for the fingers, but the problem are the pistant and the surrounding parts ( marked in blue in the pic) How would you solve this?
