My Eye Doctor suggested I keep Restasis Restasis in the fridge to make more comfortable and reduce the burning and to keep using ir for 2 days. Does Restasis Restasis lose its effectiveness when placed in the fridge. Also when are results typically seen? I have a TBUT of 5 and hoping to see an increase if ues consistently.

I just started Restasis a couple days ago because my eyes are so dry and bloodshot from low thyroid. I'm fine during the day, but at night I get the worst acid reflux. It actually wakes me up and I feel like I'm going to choke. It doesn't list it as a side effect, but just wondered if anyone else had this happen?

my eyes have been excessively dry. I did get plugs, but how do you tell if they are still there? I started restasis Restasis but it burned my eyes so terribly. I put in two drops two times a day and that probably was too much. I had such a terrible reaction Allergic reactions Allergic reactions to medication Dermatitis, reaction to tinea Drug allergies Febrile/...

Ok so I lose track of time but I have been wondering about Restasis for a while. I had lasik several years ago and since then, my dry eyes have gotten persistently worse in spite of my using Systane post lasik several times per day, before bed and 1st thing in the morning. In the last probably 6 mos. I started having eye pain (soreness), a feeling of sand or grit in there, burning, bloodshot...

Restasis is for Dry Eyes that is probably why that is not helping. try using ,Bausch& Lomb soothing Eye Wash,it will cleanse your eyes and wash out any bacteria you might have in them....

Is it beast to treat MGD/posterior blepharitis with azasite or restasis Restasis ? Could they be used together or is one better for treating the condition? Thanks

Azasite is for MGD and blepharitis. Restasis Restasis is for dry eyes. The two problems often occur together so use of both is sometimes indicated. Use the archives and searach feature to read more. JCHMD

1. A steroid (lotemax) is often used to jump start restasis. Normally only one bottle is used and when its gone its not refilled. 2. You will likely need to wait about 4 months before restasis kicks in 3. can't tell you anything about the contact ask your fitter. 4. If optovar, zaditor and patanol haven't worked within 10-14 days they aren't going to work. 5. See the best ...

It's good to hear from you again Lori. I must say I'm sorry for your depression/mixed state. I'm teetering on the edge of one myself. I haven't experienced mania to any great degree but would welcome any energy it might bring!! I remember you were having problems with hallucinations, did the Haladol help ? what have you done in the past to ward off depression? I try to refocus on stuff I like--...

Tanny: Now that is one heck of a shopping trip!! I started taking Cymbalta to see if it would give me more energy, it did, so I stayed on it. It is also used for pain, which you already know. Several of my meds are exactly what is supposed to work for tow conditions at the same time, including Cymbalta and Lyrica. I'd much rather be able to get generic drugs! so far nothing has really ...

You really need to see an eye Doctor. I had severe vision problems and couldn't see hardly at all. My opthamologist said that my eyes are extremely dry. I am on Restasis Restasis morning and night, eye drops every hour and eye gel at night. If I don't continue to improve or at least stabilize I will have to stop treatment. It is a really frustrating problem

I would estimate about 10-20% of Rx's are for bacterial conjunctivitis. International sales success depends on AzaSite's use in blepharitis. AzaSite will reach $200 million in sales if the drug is approved for use in blepharitis and physicians believe the drug is beneficial for dry eye patients. Restasis, which is used in dry eyes and is just a so-so drug, has over $500 million in sales....
