If I run geoserver and geotools builds with java 5 and java 6 on the same machine, should I have two different local maven repos. (At the moment I have one, ".m2" in the home dir. When I installed 2010, the versions of several programs was newer than what my 2009.1 repos have. 2 examples would be aMSN and Firefox. 2010 has Firefox 3.5, but with 2009.1 I only have 3.0.14 available. Can someone explain why other distros, PCLinuxOS is a good example, keep users busy with almost daily updates from the repos? Mandriva is nowhere near as active.
