We will be staying with our family in Rehovot for a week in September. I'm so pysyched! We won't be doing much touring as we've hit most of the main attractions on our previous visits. We will definitely go to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem I'm also hoping to see Haifa/Natanya again. Just looking for some day trips. Thank you for help, Lukshen

Thank you everyone for all of your excellent suggestions. It looks like Tel Aviv /Nachalat Benyamin on Tuesday, we have a wedding on Wednesday in Jerusalem and if I'm lucky back to Jerusalem on Friday. I really appreciate all of your effort.

We will be staying with our family in Rehovot for a week in September. I'm so pysyched! We won't be doing much touring as we've hit most of the main attractions on previous visits. Hoping to see Haifa/Natanya again, though. Would love a couple of suggestions near Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. We don't get the whole Sheinkin Street thing. We've been to Manta Ray, in Tel Aviv and loved it. Really ...

Thank you, either my cousin will know of it or be totally surprised. Either way it's a win-win for me. I should have plenty of time since I'll be in Rehovot for almost a week, yeah! Authentic is good.

Douglas -- I'm glad you made it to the Palmach Museum -- and had a similar reaction to my own. Yes, it's a bit schmaltzy at times (I suspect the Hebrew jokes and greater detail in the original may make some difference) but entertaining, and quite moving at many spots. My last several trips to Israel have been last-minute decisions and this one was no different. So while I missed on the joy of anticipation, I got to experience the thrill of spontaneity. I feel especially "light" as I'm here without my husband, and as much as I adore him, the logistics of travel are easier solo. I'm also noticing that I "hear" more of what is going on around me this ...
