I just do not know what to do anymore.. I tried almost anything I can think of and I am carefully placing the HDD in correctly It is most definitely the hard drive because when I take it out it, it's fine. this is the 4th 360 that has died. two white and two elites... i bought the extended warranty, so i'm thinking about getting a ps3. if you're in my shoes would you get another elite 360 or a ps3?

A couple of days ago, my little nephew's X-box 360 died on us. The thing was less than 2 years old before giving us the E-74 System Error screen. We called Microsoft costumer support and send (yesterday) the console on a trip for repairs. Re: red ring No way would I ever try the towel trick. When my 360 red ringed I just sent it in. I paid $100 and they sent me a brand new one. Mine was out of warranty. $100 for a brand new Xbox? Hell yeah. And yes, you keep your hard drive. __________________
