I have a 1979 450sl and it has a rectangular coffee can type device (20 inches or so long) with 2 fabric covered hoses running to it mounted on the left side of the radiator (looking forward when in car). What is this device and can the hoses be replaced with non-fabric corvered rubber hoses? Thank you.

Prove that the chord joining the points P(cp , c/p) and Q (cq , c/q) on the rectangular hyperbola xy=c^2 has the equation pqy+x=c(p+q). I can prove this part. Given that the points P, Q and R lie on the hyperbola xy=c^2, prove that if PQ and PR are inclined equally to the coordinate axes, then QR passes through O.

Cutting my own rectangular stone tiles? I am planning on remodeling my bathroom in a few weeks and am interested in installing rectangular travertine tiles. I've only seen a limited selection or higher prices on pre-cut travertine tiles. Am I asking for trouble if I were to cut my own on a wet saw? I have found some 18" square ...

Is the Fresnel-Kirchhoff formula (FKF) valid also for gaussian beams? I a book starting from the gaussian intensity: it said that using the FKF in free space the gaussian beam spreads (in far-field assumption). It concludes that the field can be expressed with a standard Gaussian distribution but with complex exponential rather than real. How can be it ...

The K1 crank came without the keying mechanism. It's just a rectangular indentation on the crank. Does the crank bolt and washer hold the crank pulley in place or does the keying mechanism? Is it possible to remove the key on the stock crank and use it with the K1 crank?

Script to randomly mix cells of a selection. The bounding box of the current selection will be used automatically to eliminate non-rectangular and feathered selection. After specifying the count of columns and rows in the selected region the width and height of the selection will be reduced if necessary (thus ensured the divisibility of the selection). The script will then shuffle the ...

Does anyone know if the E46 windshield washer nozzles are adjustable? My passenger side nozzle isn't hitting the screen in quite the right place. I went to adjust it with a pin, and was surprised to see a single rectangular opening in the nozzle. I was expecting two small circular holes. Is the windshield washer jet aim adjustable or not? If so, what tool do I need? Cheers, ...

My 08 has developed a rectangular depression up top on the passenger dash. Has anyone experienced this? Dealer took a pic of it and would let me know what Dodge says about it. It looks like the whole dash has to be replaced, not just part of it.
