I have had my homeowners insurance for 3 years with no claims. I recently received a letter saying that they would be doing a free reconstruction appraisal in the near future. In the letter, it actually sounded like it would be beneficial to me, but the skeptic in me wonders what the purpose of this appraisal is. I hear of so many people's insurance being canceled, I wonder if this is some way ...

I'm curious ... especially given the age in which we live, why are there people who either deny or defend the role of white supremacist violence during Reconstruction? The documentation about such terrorist activity is ample. One could see it as part of an ongoing Civil War. We just had a thread where some people expressed their distaste about John Brown. It's interesting to look at ...

i have LE. My first attempt a reconstruction was implants that ended up a bit of a disaster for many reasons. My LE was far worse with expanders that were overfilled. I ultimately ended up with a DIEP in NOLA. My LE got better after that in my hand and arm but I did end up with some truncal LE that mostly was a little difficult to control along my sternum. All is pretty mild now and so much...

I am a 75 year old widow who is having pelvic floor reconstruction and hysterectomy with mesh, laparosopically in 11 days. I have just realized my original thought of being back on my horse in 8 weeks is NOT going to happen. Right? I have NO idea what to expect, and would appreciate a reality check from you girls so I can be prepared. Thanks, Leyland

Very cool animation video (7:22 long). Must watch for aviation buffs. This is an accurate reconstruction of the US Airways flight 1549 on January 15, 2009. The audio, altimeter, and air speed are near exact matches to the actual flight. Happy Thanksgiving to all my RECF friends. Mike http://www.break.com/index/reconstruction-of-hudso n-plane-la...

I live in NC. My "journey" started 3 years ago with a modified radical mastectomy (left side), chemo, and rads. I was able to have the surgery and chemo locally but had to travel 1 hour round trip for 33 rads sessions. I hear you about the travel part. I had to get through treatments and start living again before I started to consider reconstruction. I was able to take my time and study ...
