The savings created by using a car that runs partially on a rechargeable battery depends on your local rates, but as the local utility is roughly twice as efficient as your gasoline engine, the cost per mile is roughly one half. This was the attraction for Chevron in buying 50% of Cobasys, the original supplier for GM's EV-1, but the deal came with crazy people and Chevron would like to ...

Here are my suggestions when using lots of NiMH batteries. This is from personal experiece. I just went back to using rechargeables. Label each set or 2 or 4 batteries with a Month/Year and batch number. The batch number is unique to that set of batteries. Use the sets of batteries as described. Don't split up a set of 4 to use in 2 pocket wizards. You may use 2 sets of 2 batteries in ...

Best thing you can do is get two of them and rotate between using them. I have a battery in the charging at all times while im using the other. Doing it this way will double the life of each battery.

I have discovered that the Energizer rechargeables have a short lifespan as well...go figure...the "bunny" does well with the alkaline versions. The Energizer charging pod is crap too! Got to the point where it was almost too hot to the touch! Oddly enough, I have Radio Shack batteries and charging pod, which keeps 4 pairs of batteries for two digital cameras at their peak. ...
