Did a search, and was suprisingly I did not see any posts about this. I have a 2002 Outback and WRX. Both have areas of the rearview mirror where the autodim doesn't seem to work. On the Outback it is an oval (ish) in the middle of the mirror, but on the WRX it is along the top of the mirror. Is there any way to fix this? Do I need new mirrors? Any help would be appreciated!...

My 1999 SR5 Extra Cab came with a rearview mirror without map lamps. I would like to install Toyota Part Number 87810-04070-BO the mirror with the dual map lamps. My question is…is the wiring harness already installed under the headliner, or would this be something I would have to purchase and install separately? If someone has the dual map lamp option, can you tell me if the lights come ...

Rearview Mirror: Remove / Install I'm replacing the rear view mirror. FSM says "Insert small [presumably a flat-head] screwdriver into slot on the bottom of the base... "...pull screwdriver rearward... Until... mirror snaps away from the... bracket." Been there-- done that; still can't get the damned thing to come-off!!! I'm...

Grab the stem of the mirror with one hand and hammer down toward the base of the windshield with the other. Quote from HMA Service: Inside Rear View Mirror Replacement 1. Push the inside rear view mirror base (A) down to remove to inside rear view mirror assembly (B). 2. Installation is the reverse of removal.
