I have a 1T seagate barracuda HD that has been giving me some trouble lately. It is partitioned and on a reboot or restart gives me disk read error. Is there a chance for the Wii to get DRE right after doing a softmod. I did the softmod using Larry's guide & now it's giving me DRE. I can't even play my original games. Any ideas? Is it the laser or could a file have messed something up? Please help!!

I am working on an old pc that was just given to me. When I try to obtain a Windows update, I get an error page flashing by too fast to read. Is there any way of stopping/capturing the error page? It goes by in less than a second.

Well I did the long test after it had failed to boot and came up with no errors. I'm sure it did it properly b/c it took almost 4 hours. I don't mind erasing my data b/c I have just enough space to back everything up right now I believe. I don't remember when it started giving me this error but I think it was after I installed the ubuntu. Not sure how long after though.
