I have been using a Swanson rafter square “speed square” for doing straight 90 degree cuts. But these silly tools have lots of other lines and markings on it that I did not know how to use (not sure how to mark a 45 degree either (stop laughing you were there once too – remember.) I bought the Swanson Blue Book at Lowes, but that spoke more to stairs and roofs. I then bought a smaller Johnson...

Rafter, the last couple weeks proved IVIT is not a pump and dump. I too had my doubts about Sorking and sold a good portion on the first run. The fact that it held strong and never tanked was very telling. Now it appears it is basing between .001 and .002 waiting to see if more clients are added. Personally, I did not see the reason for the surge in the AM, as it was not about a new client. On ...

I thought she was gonna change her name! well she may be Melissa Bannon formally but she is technically a Rafter now, seeings she married Ben! so to not cause any confusion lets just call her Melissa Bannon-Rafter it makes sense and is a combination of her two last names! both suit her by the way! I was watching the Outback Tennis Championship finals and I noticed Rafter was using red strings, but I'm not entirely sure cause my T.V quality isn't so good. Can anyone verify this?

Hello everyone, this is my first post on here, although I have been following for some time. I'm installing a Charnwood Cove 2 in our living room with a twinwall insulated flue going straight up through the ceiling and out. We're in a single storey property and where the flue will be exiting the room, the ceiling is sloping because it is on the underside of the rafters. We don't really ...

Thank you very much for sending the diagram, that is helpful. I've been looking for exactly that, but mostly find information with soffits. The attic will be unvented so I don't need the expense of soffits, although it would look nicer. It's all about the budget. I've sent a photo to show the rafter tails. Instead of nailing the Miratech to the roof decking, I nail into the rafter tail, correct?...

How do you lift 4X8 osb sheating over the rafter tails onto the roof? Right now it is only my husband and myself. I am not much help. But if we had an idea on the easiest way to get them up there. We have 14ft trusses all ready on and the walls are 10Ft high. Thanks. Sherry Answer Use a ladder or a plank that does not extend much above the roof. Use a rope with a hook or a noose that ...

Why everytime I get beat by a colonel, because I'm trying to help my friend whos a commander, do I get called a "-blam!-get noob". Seriously, if you act like this, you need to go find a rope and a rafter. He talks -blam!- to me, telling me to stop being cheap and buy the whole 50, as opposed to just the 47 (wtf?), so I offered to 1v1 him and he declines and continues to talk trash. And yes, it ...
