From the mouth of a highly regarded radiologist, when asked to review the FDA's press release and opine about what it means for Imaging3: "Little to nothing in terms of utilization. Radiology and radiologic testing has dramatically increased over the last 2 decades, despite known risks of ionizing radiation. The information contained within the FDA report is nothing new. There is more attention ...

They can dream. An independent radiologist named Bianco but no relation :) When is the pdufa date? I don't think they have any shot even if they do fill in some gaps.

Yea I agree. I figure the radiologist should an easy thing to do. Other than getting FDA approval that has to be the second best case scenerio. My .50s are looking ripe about now. I can in here look for a feeling of anyone flipping out for free shares. .70 is a major milestone for me and not sure if I'll be able to turn my back on .75. I've had a sell order in for 2/3 at that price, but dam,n ...

Hi Ladybugs, Today I go to talk to the oncology radiologist and of course have been reading and reading about everything on radiation. I have read where some woman have been given too much radiation and how awful this is. I came across some info on DVS, it is called a Dosimeter implant that helps radiologist verify the amount of radiation so there is ...

PLEASE tell me if you've had anything like this happen to you. Had upper GI this morning with rudest radiologist I've ever met. Puked all over. My stomach looks huge- I saw it on the screen. Tech asked if I was diabetic (NOT) and said it looks like not-sleeved stomach. Radiologist asked her to wait a few minutes and take more pics. PCP who ordered test (stat) never called me back....

( Last week I had an upper Gi due to severe indigestion. The radiology report said I had a stricture. I took the films to my surgeon this morning and after reviewing them he said no stricture, that the radiologist had read them incorrectly for a sleeve patient. YAY!!! A big cause of my problem was the Actigall to help prevent gallstones. Unfortunately I will not be able to take that so ...

Had my first U/S yesterday baby was supposed to be 7wks 3days but only measured 5wks 6days and the yolk sac was large but there was a heartbeat. Now I have to wait a week to have another U/S for viability. According to the radiologist the prognosis is usually poor in these situations:( This really really sucks I feel totally blindsided. I'm trying to be positive that at least I know I am...

Hi everyone, I finally had my anatomy ultrasound today and... it's a girl! We are delighted. I would have been happy either way, of course, but it's great to know and it was great to see all the images of her moving around. The radiologist said that basically everything was ok that they could see. However, they did see a cyst somewhere in her brain which of itself is of no consequence, may...

Biopsies usually can't be done right then because they are done by a surgeon and they don't have them just standing around - you usually have to see a surgeon and then he sets up the time and place for the procedure. My biopsy was performed by my radiologist. I did, however, have it done on the day that the surgeon was at the breast center and I saw him directly after the procedure....

I have been a radiologist for 30 years. The specialty has become more difficult and stressful over that time, with a higher volume of work to be done in less time, more on-call pressures, worse liability concerns, etc. I'm glad to have done it, but not at all sure I'd do it again. Considering the various major stressors....... The liability problem is insoluble...you will have to do ...
