i used to be a sales associate there and that's exactly it. it's the only way you can really justify trying to sell somebody one of those cables when you're an employee. the 2400% markup is a tax for being lazy. or the ridiculous prices on phone chargers. hey, i know you can get that charger for two bucks on the street. but the customer doesn't know it, or they wouldn't be at radio shack. ...

Honestly, why do you care whether or not they stay in business? Just don't shop there and you've done your part. Wishing thousands of people out of jobs is just heartless, even if they suck.
