I am presently running back on Debian Lenny on my box with a Radeon 9000 agp card. The opensource radeon driver works fine. glxgears is showing 928 fps. As a test Chromium flies. OK I've tested Debian Squeeze. I have had many issues. Some I've worked out some I can deal with until it hits freeze. However my dri performance on the radeon is pitiful. I'm lucky if I get 128 fps. Hey guys, I've got a conundrum. I recently reformatted my hard drive and had to reinstall some of my hardware drivers. Yesterday I started having an issue with my multimedia players. Hello, I recently bought a ATI R9000 64M DDR PCI Card so I can run 2 monitors on my computer (Dell Dimension 3000)....I disabled the Intel Graphics, shut down my computer and installed the new card. I plugged both monitors in and fired it up and absolutely nothing...It's like the computer isn't registering the new monitor...What am I doing wrong...Thanks.

Inspiron 600m ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 graphics driver(s) NOT WORKING...WHY?

I've gone through just about every graphics driver DELL lists on their web-site for this Inspiron 600m ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 built in system with no avail. Anyone have an idea what could be wrong? The laptop will run with the basic driver but NOT when you attempt to install one of the ATI drivers.

I'm thinking of upgrading my video card to a MAC ATI RADEON 9000 PRO AGP. Is this a plug in and use set up? Is the ATI driver and software needed or will OS X recognize the card? The reason i ask is that I was using a Radeon 8500 AGP Mac Edition. (died of old age) It was a plug and play, no drivers needed card and I'm wondering is the 9000 is the same....

I bought a new Radeon 9000 AGP card for my Dell Dimension 4300. When I power up the PC I get no video at all. I've tried the card in a Micron about the same age and it works fine. Could be. I was trying to find a kernel that it still existed. I went back to 2.6.27 which is one version newer than Lenny's stock kernel. Couldn't get it to boot On Squeeze. Even though the newer ones would. But the 2.6.31 kernel and up don't have the support. But Craig said it's an xorg issue. I don't know. Since Lenny's stock kernel still has good 3d response. And Kubuntu has good performance ...
